It tells the story of a woman navigating life after the death of a loved one, from the depths of loss to the grip of uncertainty to the joys of communion with others. As you know, or perhaps you do not know, albums are costly to make (especially vinyl records). I have included a pre-order link for CDs, vinyl, and digital downloads, so that you may join me in production efforts if you already plan to purchase. Spring Greetings to all!

I am elated to announce that I have completed the tracking portion of my second full length album, title TBA. This body of work is even more “composed” and meticulously planned than the first and is a display of my own growth as a musician and composer. The music will be mixed and mastered sometime this summer for release in late summer or fall. I'm already planning my release show, so stay tuned. Much love to you all!

What a joy to be able to share my music with all of you these past months. It has been both a refreshing and an exhausting baring of the soul, and I treasure these vulnerable moments greatly. Many thanks to all those I have connected with, near and far. You inspire and encourage me.

With all things, balance is important, and so I will be turning inward to create more music and prepare for Dark Castle Fest (Louisville KY) and Darksome Craft Market (Philadelphia PA); two niche events I could not be more excited to be a part of! My next local show on the books as of right now is October 13th at the Downstairs with Dafnez and Nyx.

May we continue to do our part to make the world a better place.

I have been hard at work these past few weeks finishing 4 new songs, one of which is called “Wind and Wave.” You might have heard it in its unfinished state at a live show recently. It has take me over a year to figure it out, but I have finally finished and put words to it.

Another of the new songs I have only performed during my Spring Writes collaborative piece with Erin the Axe, and it is lovingly known as “The Acorn Song.” The other two new songs are “Sang et Sol” (Parlez-vous français?) and “Lonesome Bridge” and will be debuted at Grassroots Festival of Music and Dance in two weeks.

Come see my set on Saturday (Community Stage 3:15p) or Sunday (Cabaret 5:30) at the Festival. I will be playing my entire repertoire! And as always, I'm happy to chat after the show!

We have already shared so much music together this summer! Next on the calendar, I will be performing at The Downstairs on July 5th for the first of two shows celebrating the 2nd Anniversary of Dungeon Knights. Pumpkin Witch, The Oracle and Avoidance will also be playing. Come check it out.

AND in case you haven't heard yet, I will be playing two sets with a few special guests at Grassroots Festival of Music & Dance this year: July 20th (Saturday) at 3:15pm on the Community Stage and July 21st (Sunday) at 5:30pm in the Cabaret. Come to one or both. I'd love to see you there!

One last thing . . . I have VINYL RECORDS! and CDs available at all of my shows now. Each comes with a digital download code. The album was recorded at The Studio Nashville in two sessions with Brook Sutton. It was produced by Ted Pecchio and mastered by Will Tyson. The album cover art was designed by Nicole Sara Simpkins, a profoundly talented visual artist and dear friend based in Minneapolis, MN. The back cover displays a photo and makeup look by amazing local photographer and makeup artist, Alice Markov. The inner fold of the CD was designed by yours truly. I hope you feel the potency of all of the time, energy, and heart that has gone into this work from everyone involved; and I hope to see you out in the world!

It's finally here! My debut self-titled Album Silver Rein is scheduled to be released on April 12th on all streaming platforms and Bandcamp. For those of you who are local, please come to my ALBUM RELEASE SHOW at Sacred Root Kava Lounge and Tea Bar, where I will be performing the album in its entirety. April 9th, I will be hosting a virtual Listening Party on Bandcamp, where I will be chatting with folks about the making of the album. This week, I took my instruments down to Nashville and recorded an album. It was a whirlwind after a lot of waiting, and I can't wait to share it with you! Eight tracks, about 40 minutes of music. The recording is complete, but now it must be mixed and mastered before it can be made into CDs and vinyl records.

Expect to hear more updates in the coming months. February is looking ripe for a release date!

This Friday, I am more than thrilled to be playing at one of the Ithaca area's summer highlights: the Finger Lakes Grassroots Festival of Music and Dance. Every year, the festival has a different feel [dare I say vibe]. 

This year is especially exciting for me. Although I played there in 2019 when I was in the band, Motherwort, this year will mark the first time I have played my solo work. Not only this, but I have invited two extraordinary vocal talents to the stage with me to sing and accompany a couple of my songs. La Llorona and Hollings are both amazing local singers, musicians, and friends. 

La Llorona is a dynamic singer songwriter and violinist with a unique mystical sound that draws inspiration from her Mexican roots.

One month ago, I left my home country to travel around France, England, Scotland. A trip for pleasure and inspiration, for connecting with even deeper family roots. Is it strange that I'm experiencing culture shock upon my return? 

I've learned many things through my travels, not only from this trip, as epic as it was. Home is people. It doesn't seem to matter where I am as much as it matters who I am with. This is not to negate that comforting feeling of driving down a familiar road or sleeping in sheets that smell like you slept in them the night before. 

We spent so much time with people we loved there that we almost forgot we were so far away. 

I'm happy to be back, ready to pick up where I left off, overjoyed to connect with you all again and with new music in process. If you have read this far, you make this place home for me. 💜

This last month positively flew by. It seems like it was just yesterday that I was setting The Grave loose, but the time has come to announce another single release: Tether. The release date is set for APRIL 28th. Tether is about the inescapable interconnectedness of us all; the poor and the rich, the human and the beast. The song repeats and circles around itself, much like its subjects.

I wrote Tether in August of 2022, on a day when my Covid symptoms had briefly eased up. I spent all day in my 40 square foot practice studio creating the beat sounds with my mouth and recording it onto my Boss RC-600 loop station. I then added layers of bowed and plucked cello. On that same day, I recorded an experimental music video with the help of my partner, a smart phone, and some minimalist lighting. I wrote the lyrics a few weeks later, as I often don't know the meaning of a song until I'm swept away by its melody. Not long ago, I finished the recording with New Vine Records, and now I anticipate its official release next month. I hope you find it as compelling as I do.

After my show on March 27th at the Downstairs with Lora Pendleton, I will be taking a brief hiatus from playing shows till at least mid-May, but you can believe that I will be back with greater force upon my return. In the meantime, enjoy!
